On April 24th, 2016 Koi Zen Cellars celebrated our 1 year anniversary. We planned 5 days of events and right now are very tired, but the whole event was a huge success.
Thank you to everyone who came by both last week and during the entire first year. We could not have done this without you, your ideas, your support, kindness and patronage. We have learned a lot and I hope that you did to.
Lisa put together a slideshow documenting our first year; wow what an evolution. The barrel room was empty for our first bottling line; we just had a few barrels and cases. Now we are bursting at the seams and negotiating some additional adjacent space. Now there is a wall of barrels, cases and equipment everywhere.
But that isn’t what is filling the space.
You are filling the space; this is what is important.
Lisa captured hundreds of pictures of the thousands of people who have filled our lives. We have had bottling parties, crush parties, club pickup parties, baby showers, networking groups, classes, and ladies nights out, speakers, entertainers, fund raisers, art classes, dates and fantastic conversations.
What a rich and wonderful experience; thank you! We are humbled by what you have given us.
And this is just the beginning. We are currently putting together our 2016 grape contracts, expanding our wine offerings, introducing a black label brand and branching out our distribution. Thanks to you, our wine clubs have grown and both new and old faces visit us every day. The buzz about Koi Zen is slowly spreading though the community which we are very grateful for.
